It is the first wind turbine in Vyulya. Although there is electricity there, most villagers cannot afford it. The home has become a centre of attraction to many who wish to have some clean and free energy. Mr Mutiso hosted a few neighbours who wanted to learn more about the wind power technology he had purchased. The home of Mutiso was already wired for installation of electricity which ended up too expensive compared to installing a wind turbine The turbine stands near the home overlooking the plains in the east. It was a still day until it started blowing in the evening. The wind blows here overnight and most evenings. the Mutisos now have free energy to light up their home and provide security lighting. These ladys were having a cup of tea under the new bright electricity light from the turbine. though camera shy -- their faces were happy.
