Dambi ng'ondinyi (Site 009)

At the home of Mr Patrick K Gomboshi we have erected another WindCruiser CS09TDR 12VDC. The height of Dambi Ng'ondinyi rises rapidly from the lower parts of Sagalla and receives very high winds at all times.

This is the Southern side of the Dambi ng'ondinyi ridge rising sharply from the hillside below. The Goe rock can be seen in the distance. This is the Talio side of the hill.

The Northern side of Dambi ng'ondinyi ridge facing Teri and the Mombasa Nairobi Highway. The home of Patrick Gomboshi is seen below

Momanyi sorting out the parts after arrival on site.

The Craftskills Team working on the turbine assembly by joining the three fibreglass blades and the nose on its hub.

Propeller ready after the team fitted the hub and nose.

The 3 phase wind machine ready for mounting. This machine give a close to true DC (battery-like) voltage with a smooth non-cogging (non humming) run.

Martin and a colleague hoisting up the 25kg wind generator to its pole. The Eucalyptus pole was strong enough to support the machine and wind sheer (perpendicular) forces.

WindCruiser high and ready to fly.

Our Technician Mr Jared Momanyi making final touches to the pulse charger and the house circuit.

This is one of the windy sites we have put the WindCruiser. We had a good constant charging voltage and the pulser clicked away throughout the night. Patricks old battery was working like new the following day.
